The canteen food is extremely good value for money - food is prepared quickly and the portions are massive. We got the three roast meats with rice, and roast pork fried udon.

They have a good range of products but rude people at the till. I spent about £45 pounds and asked them if I could leave my car in their empty lot for 10-15 minutes to go next door… Chinese woman at the till pretended not to understand… don’t want to support this type of business. There are a number of Chinese food shops in town and a couple are much more pleasant to shop at … Hiyou !

The place to buy all your east-asian ingredients, they also have a really great variety of south-asian spices you can buy in bulk. It is open to the public! The prices and variety of goods is way better compared to the "world foods" section in supermarkets.

We coincidentally went to the store's official opening and got to try some of their hot food which was so delicious (but it's only open on weekdays), it's definitely worth a try as I think normally they have more authentic food!

Helpful friendly staff, plenty of stock to browse and purchase, prices are definitely cheaper here compared to other stores. Great selection of fresh and frozen goods. Bulk buying options, too. There is also a new cafe inside. Parking is front of the building (monitored, free for shoppers), wheelchair accessible ground floor, flat easy to navigate, and has WC inside.

Just found this newly opened Chinese supermarket in Newcastle. If you like oysters, prawns and deep fried food, you must try their oyster pancakes (I’m not sure about the name) it’s soooo amazing!!!! Also had a chitchat with the owner, they’re launching the restaurant as well. Plus, they give 10%OFF during Chinese New Year for snacks. Will def visit again for the oyster pancakes!!

They sell a wide range of Asian groceries and non-food items. Plus, they’re quite affordable, it’s like an Asian version of Costco. You can pay with credit/cash cards if you spend more than £5.
