I really like looking through the vast amount of records they have in Mound Tonka Tunes. It's great looking for that diamond in the rough. Prices are great starting at $1 and up. Used record average for me around $5 each. Expect to spend at least an hour here. The place is old and grungy which gives it charm. It's 100% used records and music memorabilia. Nothing recent. It's all classic tunes! AND EVERYTHING IS FOR SALE! you find some cool wall art? You can buy it at a reasonable price. Thanks Shawn!

I was out in Mounds doing some work, which just happened to be 5 minutes from Tonka Tunes, I've visited tons of record stores in MN as well as in other states. I gotta say this trip was super fun, I wish I could of spent way more time digging through classics here. The owner was super nice, I think his name was Shaun, super down to earth guy, seemed like a hard worker, he gladly took the time to explain and go through his store with me. I've seen lots of great reviews and they're all true, hope to vist again!

This place is great. Shaun has always gone above and beyond to hunt for records for me by the artists I ask for. I also bought two awesome retro cabinets from him to store my records. He gave me a great price on them too. Bought my Billie Holiday collection from his shop too. Love it.

The BEST place to find anything on your wish list. I keep a list of all of the vinyl that I’d like to have and this place never disappoints. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, when I’m looking for something specific they’ll even let me know when it’s available. It’s fun just to go in and browse I could look for hours. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a punk rock, heavy metal, R&B, country, soul, Bluegrass, classical this store has everything! A++++++

A hidden gem outside Minneapolis! Great selection and fair prices. I love visiting here when I pass through Mound! I've been to TONS of record stores in the twin cities and nothing really beats this place! I always walk out with a stack of records! Non pretentious, and very VERY reasonably priced! The owner is an awesome, friendly guy!!!!!

Wow! Huge selection of vinyl. And the owner can point you to any item you seek. Super nice guy, steeped in music knowledge. We stop in every few Sundays after breakfast and browse for hours. It's a one-man operation, so I follow on facebook to keep up with notices on business hours, etc. My husband fixes stereo equipment and he buys vintage items from Shaun for his hobby. Recommend this hidden gem.

I have had nothing but great service here and truly think of it as a gem for records. I have asked in the past for records and without hesitation he finds me the record or something from that artist. I will always think of this as my favorite record store. I have seen a few negative reviews here and can truly say don't be fooled out of a great spot for records. You won't be disappointed.

Simply the best place for used records in the area. Every time I've gone I have found multiple gems for my collection. If you're looking for vintage records at great prices, you just cannot beat this place.
