I was initially very excited to rent here because of the convenience of Whole Foods downstairs and the nice views, but my experience has been disappointing.

First, the package system is a mess. Delivery carriers cannot access the P3 locker system because they don’t have a fo
b, so they end up leaving packages in the lobby or outside, making them easy targets for theft. I’ve had multiple packages go missing, and management does nothing to check the security cameras to see who took them.

The apartments are extremely cold due to poor window insulation, leading to high electricity bills in both summer and winter. There are also many homeless individuals around, and because there’s no front desk or active security monitoring, they manage to get inside the building. Some even sleep in empty apartments or in the parking garage, which constantly smells like urine.

There’s nothing special about living here besides Whole Foods, and soon, construction will start, meaning even more noise. Since the windows are not double-pane, expect to hear everything—traffic, honking, and even street racing. Overall, I regret moving here.

I appreciate the work of the NoBe Market apartments maintenance team that helps me whenever I have a maintenance challenge. There are rarely any issues, and when I call Sean Brown, the building technician, he always responds swiftly. My most recent request required a bulb change in my restroom and he changed all the lights there. So thoughtful. He is friendly and respects boundaries. I’m glad to renew my lease and continue my stay at NoBe Market apartments. Thank you, Sean! All the best.

It’s been two months since they canceled my application due to a technical error in their apartment listing. And I still haven’t received a refund of my application fee and holding deposit. Well past the 45 day limit. I will be filing a complaint to Montgomery county’s housing authority along with NoBe management corporate office.

The quality of building management has dropped significantly over the past couple of years (since they switched to Avenue 5).

There is no security in the building, they removed front desk service and this is how they handle the packages now (picture taken on 10/1/2020). I personally have heard from multiple residents that they have lost their packages and the management team did not take any action to resolve this unfortunate situation. Even though they have cut a lot of services (amenities, concierge, security, etc.) they still overcharge residents upon contract renewal.

Do not live here you will need to pay a huge price increase year over year or should avoid this property from the get-go. We were personally told there would be a 16% increase in our rent for a year’s length lease with only 30-days notice.

Our washing machine and dishwasher appliances have both had stagnant water product flaws. We have reported a molded dishwasher for over a year. Nobe replaced an original moldy dishwasher with another used, dirty dishwasher that molded almost immediately due to stagnant / improper drainage and they refuse to address it or purchase a new one despite over six months of specifically requesting a new one for health concerns. This is still ongoing despite “escalating to management” and then continuing to ignore our communications.

Nobe has entered our apartment twice without permission and against written instructions to not enter the premises without myself or my husband present.

Due to the extremely cold temperatures in the hallways during the winter, our neighbors bathroom pipe burst, leaking into our entry and den floorboards, and we were left with the solution to run an industrial fan (loud) for a full week.

Due to poor package handling and lack of a service desk in our building, we have had multiple packages lost.

The whopping four feet deep pool is not well-maintained and I have seen kids throw up in the water in front of me. It’s gross and not worth any additional money.

Overall: apartments are spacious and nice. The money you pay for services, appliances and amenities is absolutely useless with the nobe management running things.

What a dump !!! I would give this place 0 if it was an option … if you want to pay luxury high rise Bethesda rent but be treated like you live in Section 8 government housing then this is the place for you !!
We have been without power for the last 3 days .. no hot water, no heat and it was 25 degrees outside.. all my food spoiled in the fridge.
They claimed the electricity would be back on that night by 6pm after 2 days. They held a pizza party to make the residents feel better BUT
still no electricity until the next morning and the pizza gave my son explosive diarrhea ..

The building keep residents’ packages outside in unsecured area; they can be accessed by everyone who gets inside the building.
The management claims that they have two secured systems for the packages but none of them are working yet. They still keep our packages outside without any level of protections. I attached two resent pictures of the packages.

I already talked to people in the main office, and send so many emails. I asked to look at the building camera and they refused.
After more than 6 weeks of waiting, they said I have to file a police report. I lost very important packages due to this disorganization.

I resided here for a good amount of years and the North Bethesda Market apartments have gone through a few management companies. Upon my my exit recently, had experienced THE WORST management, Avenue5. Avoid living here for that purpose. The management is unprofessional and their processes are convoluted.
