I used to live here from 2014-2018 and it was a great experience. Not far from the NAB base or NASNI base in Coronado and it is located right next to the Tijuana Estuary. I have lots of fond memories of my time here with my 2 precious weenie dogs and it always brings back sweet memories when I visit. It’s very close to the beach.

So blessed to have came across Mariners Point, first off, the apartment was clean and ready for me to move in. Everything is up to date and if there is any maintenance needed it is easy and pretty quickly handled. The maintenance people who landscape and take care of us are so kind, I feel safe with people around. The neighbors are cool and always say hello!! I get a lil weary with my upstairs neighbor but I usually avoid him lol. The leasing process had to be a tall tail sign that this place was going to calm my anxiety and just make me feel at home. Angela Perez is a literal angel, I wish I was over exaggerating bc the times I’ve had trouble getting a hold of people when looking for a new apartment was so frustrating. She was so attentive and reassured me that everything is suppose to be simple and easy. I tend to overthink a lot. But she really did make my move smooth and I just felt so welcomed and at peace.
Thank you to Angela and Mariners Point.
I appreciate it!

We moved to MP site unseen from our own home in another state. We were immediately disappointed with the kitchen and bathroom. The apartment pictures on line make the place look way nicer than it actually is. The pictures showed stainless steel appliances but they were all the most low budget white appliances you could ever imagine. It took the stove oven a long time to heat up. They spray paint the kitchen, bathroom counters and the bath tub. It's so low budget and makes you feel like it's always dirty. We went from granite counters and nothing but the best of appliances to this. The heater is neglected & doesn't look like it had been used in years & we bought one so we wouldn't have to use the one in the apartment. It looked dirty and scary, like it would catch on fire. The set up of the apartments is awful if you are living near someone you cannot stand and in our case was evil. Because they lived downstairs and our stairs landed in front of their place, they had access to abusing us on the daily just because they felt like it. It was a source of cheap entertainment for these two miserable souls. The maintenance folks and the front office were all very kind people and we liked them, however, we did not want maintenance in our home because like someone else noted, they never got the job done right the first time. And you had to call them again and again to get things addressed correctly. The front office folks did a great job helping us get into the place and we very much appreciate it but if you have problems with your neighbor or their barking dogs, they won't help you. You are on your own. No one seems to really care about what's going on in the apartment complex and it shows. Why would they? It's not their money or buildings? At first we loved living next to the estuary and the ocean until we discovered that both were heavily polluted with sewage, smelled, and made us sick. The fix to this is years in the making if they ever fully address it. It's hard to control what Tijuana does in the United States. The pool looked glamorous in the pictures; it's in fact too cold to get into. The hot tub didn't work half the time we were there and for quite some time, we were looking at plywood because someone broke the glass fence enclosure for the pool. The backsides of the buildings were neglected, they didn't keep up with landscaping well and the small spots folks used for their dogs to go potty were overcrowded bacteria ridden disasters. The porches they call decks suck because there is absolutely zero privacy. We spent no time out there as a result. The parking situation was awful. We got one spot per apartment and the entire parking area was tight and congested. We had to sell our truck and get a new car to help relieve anxiety. They are also doing maintenance on the outside of the buildings. Good for them. It definitely looks better but there is less parking as a result because the construction folks are using the extra parking spaces. Our first year at MP was pretty cool and we were willing to overlook a lot so we could be close to the ocean and then two very mean women moved in downstairs and made our lives a living nightmare because they were upset that they didn't get our apartment with the view of the ocean. The abuse negatively impacted our health and thankfully MP staff let us break the lease to escape the abuse and move closer to our doctor. We do appreciate that, however, we should not have been the ones who were forced to move. They were breaking the law and the terms of the lease; and we suffered the consequences with no one to help us get things under control. We lost respect for folks because of this. If the ocean wasn't contaminated & we didn't have to drive such a long distance to get to our rare disorder doctor, we would have been very upset that we were forced to move while sick because MP wouldn't do their job & hold bad actors accountable for abusing two sick & disabled people. They did not provide a safe & peaceful environment despite what they will tell you. Also, the laundry room was unacceptable

Recently moved in here, and its a lovely little place with great staff. Angela helped me out a lot. I think it also feels a little bigger than 600 sq ft, but that may be just me. Overall, very comfortable and cozy with good neighbors.

Worst place to live. Sure it looks like a nice area with the beach & estuary in walking distance, but come sundown is another story. We lived there over a year and in that time, we had a car stereo system stolen, a different car stolen, and our gas stolen. Our neighbors had warned us ahead of time but you always think if you're careful, it will never happen to you. The sheriffs file a report & you never hear from them again and the management does even LESS. For $1500+ a month, I would expect some kind of better enforcement or security. DO NOT MOVE HERE. No one stays long. New people are always moving in and then out after their lease. Also, they try to keep you from moving elsewhere!! We made it clear of our pay periods & when the rent would paid since it is past the 3rd of every month and they seemed fine with it, but of course assessing a late fee which was the case in our last apartment. When we applied for another place, they told them we paid late every month causing us not to get approved. I understand it is technically late, but our other apartment manager didn't make such comments since from the beginning we made it clear. Horrible management. Bad area full of crime. Just don't do it.

Don’t move in here. Area is the only nice thing about these apartments. They charge a ton for very small apartments. The maintenance team never fixes things right the first time and getting them to come back is even harder. The people who work in the office rarely answer the phone and if they do they probably wont help after you get off the phone. Hot tub always looks green, if it’s even open. The apartments themselves are nice but that’s about it. Would not recommend anyone move here...

I almost lived here and although I ended up somewhere else, Angela was extremely kind and helpful in the process. Highly recommend talking to her if interested.
