PM professional w/25 years’ experience w/property operations w/high resident satisfaction providing an honest, fair, entertaining, objective opinion.Amenities are plentiful, used often.Location is excellent, close to retail, transit, and the mall. Variety of floorplans, pricing relative to area.Residents, friendly. Now, the reality of all things bad.CLEANING/TRASH- Despite BEST efforts, cleaning staff cannot keep up with trash at this property.Expect to see trash, pet waste (bagged and unbagged), random items, food debris sit for days at a time.Someone spilled small fruit pieces on our floor near the elevator. It sat for 5 days at the elevator, no joke. I could not believe it!Same with dog waste in the green bags (see photos).Residents don't pick up after pets. Keep in mind that is a primary front door.Just expect to see trash everywhere.Residents are also to blame; however, it is managements job to enforce the community rules. PARKING GARAGE- I just received a renewal being asked to pay $100 for parking monthly, originally free as a promotion.Rightly so since the garage gate is always broken or damaged.Your best option, preventative measures and pray nothing happens to you to your car.Management doesn’t monitor the garage, there are several abandoned, derelict vehicles and probably some stolen ones in the garage in spaces.Vacant parking spaces are occupied by anyone. Towing is not consistent or regulated.Like most of PG, Lync has its share of theft of car tires and rims.FIRE ALARMS- Reviews are TRUE! I had Covid last year, in bed fighting w/fever. Fire alarm went off three different times UNTIL 1AM.Had to get out of bed sick, get my dog, his stuff, and make my way down the stairs with everyone else. You didn’t know when an alarm was real or fake. The property danced dangerously close to negligence should any major issue or an actual fire occurred. CRIME- Like most areas in the DMV, Hyattsville has seen its fair share of uptick in crime. So far, I know of two residents who were carjacked near the building.Police can often be seen in front investigating crimes.MANAGEMENT- A property can have amazing amenities, beautiful floorplans, a great location, but ruined by unresponsive and uninvested management. Customer service should be priority. Most staff members are friendly/approachable.The Community Manager, in my opinion is not prepared to run this property. It takes an investment and a plan, and she demonstrates neither.I’ll take unfriendly if it means things will get done.Be prepared to tell the office your concerns over and over again, few requests get completed on the first try. Examples-4 months to remove unwarranted charges on my ledger for renters’ insurance after sending the documents 4 times.Staff turnover is high. The stairwell heaters were still on as of yesterday in spring.Requested to 3 different people they be turned off for over a month, nothing.Package lockers weren’t active, property never renewed the contract, and were still putting packages in the lockers.Lockers were sending out notifications in error consistently.Bottom line, your money would be better served elsewhere. At this price point, you have options and should use them. As I told the Regional Manager, this property as a resident feels like a ‘Ship without a Captain’.Like the minimum that is required to be done is what is occurring and most of the focus is put on leasing.Take your budget to a well-managed and well-maintained building where that rent will be appreciated. Most days I see something that just makes me shake my head and keep walking. Promises of being rescued by current Regional Management with a new plan for the building, but those promises have been made before. You cannot recognize your own consistent customer service failures, staff turnover and then turn around and send renewal increases. That is ridiculous and poorly thought through.Earn the value you are monetizing.Read the reviews, recognize ones from management and maybe your experience will be different, I hope so, but are you willing to take the chance?

It’s actually outrageous the amount of times the fire alarm has gone off in this building with no actual fire. Outside of it being a nuisance and paying entirely too much in rent for this, I fear that one day there will be an actual fire and people won’t leave their apartment. It’s become normalized to the point where the alarm goes off weekly and people are desensitized. People are used to this and do not leave their home. I shouldn’t have to check my window or peak my head out to see if this is a real alarm or fake. I’m young, I don’t have kids, I can get up and just leave, there are elderly in this building, families with small children, disabled people etc. what happens then ? It’s gotten to the point where even the fire department knows the alarm system is faulty and their sense of urgency decreases. It is EXTREMELY ALARMING, UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS. I don’t know what is going on with this fire alarm system but they need to fix it. I’ve lived here for two years and it has not changed. Whats also interesting is the alarm only goes off in the dead of night.

You need to protect your residents.

I recently had the pleasure of touring this community with an amazing marketing consultant (Timon-Ashanti), and I couldn’t be more impressed! From the moment we arrived, Timon-Ashanti was welcoming and knowledgeable, providing insightful details about the property and its amenities.

The tour was thorough, showcasing not only the beautiful apartments but also the community atmosphere. I truly felt valued as a potential resident.

Her enthusiasm for this community absolutely made me excited about the possibility of calling it home. Overall, she truly made the experience enjoyable and informative. Highly recommend!

Live here since (2019), and this is the worse I seen this building once a new manager took over downhill from there. Moves out June 2, 2023 my health or this unsafe and unhealthy building.

Pictures worth a thousand words. We went without lights in the hallway for (2 1/2) weeks.

My window had been leaking since I moved upstairs here in (2022), due to COVID and yet nothing was done properly when I moved in apt was dirty. Put several tickets in regarding possible MOLD. Had contactor to work on my outside window talking on cell phone on a ladder the whole time working on my windows and yet issues still occurring.

New Management, sucks I had reported issues to MD INSPECTOR, since this new Manager has been Harassing me and now my son came home from military to visited me on May 2, 2023, security had questioned him about him being in lobby and ask who was he waiting for and then stated to him you was in lobby to long I did speak with security alone and he told me everything said he was sorry and to apologize to my son. Now I will file a case with BBB site they do have serious complaints against them.

So I went down to speak with manager DM , this man is so self centered and rude and talk down to residents so I just check him that he had no right to do what he did and I ask him to explain himself. Didn’t make sense what he was saying but security had informed me exactly, what happened and apologized to me and my son. My son doesn’t visit me anymore due to that incident and now I have file a case for retaliation and harassment.

Security guy, did apologize but not resident manager so now I am moving after I let him have it. I have attorneys in my family and a judge and I know my rights so now I must protect my son and myself. Due to my window with rain coming into my window when it rain I deal with the courts not paying another dime. Cover up mold by putting paint on it my grandson couldn’t have done a better job then this and he is only (6). Screen doesn’t fix window and bugs and other insects come into my room so I must keep it closed at all times.

Car broken into every other day and fire alarm going off twice or three time a week. We know the more money they save the biggest the bounce checks are. Resident leave trash in front of their apartment door. Proof of all of this but just a warning don’t rent here if you need some peace. My dear neighbors moved here in March, 2023 now they moving out on 5/12. This place may look good on the outside but move and you will see it’s just not worth it. Wanted out my lease and now that I got a notice to leave they did me a favor lease not over until August 2023, l am gone with the summer would never look back. Save your hard earn money and don’t rent here please. Wish I can display all the pics and video that I have you will see what I am talking about. The owners at GM, don’t care about the residents until you file a complaint with the courts. Then they must let you out of your lease.

Dog feces all over the place and in the grass also dogs without leash on them and mice running around due to the trash rooms over flow outside dumpster always broken. Let’s not forget the phone you can’t call the rental office nor does the call phone to buzz your guess into the building doesn’t work hasn’t been working going on (3) mos. Concierge, must get up and open the door this building isn’t secure at all. Anybody can come in and people sleep on the stairs all the time but yet they have security walking around not enough
Smoke weed in garage and in their apartment and on the patio you can smell in the hallways when it’s a policy smoking in units and patio as well but no smoking on lease.

When I first moved here this property was so amazing and beautiful in (2019). But now you see this building run as fast as you can. Look at my pictures I posted. Better off getting an apartment where you have some peace why paying rent here it’s another story. I have seen it all the last 4 1/2 years. I concur that garage door always broken.

Worst place to live - beware. If you like waking up at midnight or later to piercing alarms sounds at random, this is the hellscape for you. Me and my children are anxious before bed every single night and we just came back from our daily midnight alarm stroll (it’s 12:46 AM as I type this). I hate I renewed my lease, don’t make the same mistake. Management is terrible. I feel sorry for those with babies, pets, and our townhome neighbors that have to also hear this multiple times a month and always in the middle of the night.

If you enjoy being waken up at all times of the night by the loudest fire alarms invented , preferably between the hours of midnight & 4 in the morning then this is the place for you . Don’t believe me , just read some of the other reviews that other tenants have left they are all true . The garage , the trash , the FIRE ALARMS .

About the garage gate constantly being broken leaving our vehicles unsecured . Peoples cars being broken into . Cars being stolen . Peoples wheels being taken & the car left on milk crates . Luckily I personally was not a victim of theft , HOWEVER , my car was also UNLAWFULLY towed away one night like someone else's review that I saw about their experience , despite paying for parking every single month & having the proper parking tag in the window to prove it . Management was not helpful at all through out the process . Every thing comes from out our pockets despite the inconvenience .

I normally don’t even do reviews but here I find myself typing all this at 1am due to the fire alarms AGAIN for the 4th & 5th time (in one night) this month . It just blows my mind how we are paying so much money for a place where its hard to even get a good night of sleep due to random fire alarms going off , scaring my kids & pissing off the neighbors . My wife has seen families with little babies not even toddlers yet outside in the cold because they don’t know if it is safe to be in the building with the blaring fire alarms going off at 1am.

From the outside looking in this apartment seems nice & I really do hope they get this s*** together , but as of right now my overall experience of this apartment has been unpleasant to say the least & thats me being nice .

I spent two months trying to determine whether I was approved or denied, and the process was a complete nightmare. My family and I live in the sister apartment next door, so we thought the application process would be straightforward – but we were wrong. The communication throughout was terrible. Don't expect them to call you; you’ll have to do all the chasing. It was one of the most frustrating and disorganized application processes I’ve ever encountered. If I could rate this experience lower, I would. The entire management company needs a serious overhaul.
