We are VERY please with the install of the system and overall operation. We are two weeks into the operation and are thrilled with our results. I had a great solar experience with Lumina Solar. I was originally skeptical on the switch to solar. After being referred to Lumina by a friend who recently had their system installed, I decided to go for a quote, along with two other quotes from other local competitors. I must admit, I could not have asked for a better Solar Consultant (Ali Sanders)! Ali was very patient in answering my many questions, presented me all the facts, made me aware of all of the incentives available and provided me with a great quote for a custom system to fit my family’s energy needs. Not only did Lumina beat the quotes I received from ION Solar and NuSun Power, but was the only company that offered the 30-year Solar Insurance policy bundled into their quote for the added piece of mind. Lumina team was very organized and efficient with getting the necessary HOA and county permitting and the team did a great job on day of install getting all my equipment and panels setup. There were a few minor set backs post install, but Ali was quick to discuss with her management and offer a solution that I found acceptable. I had a great experience working with Gabriel Shabtai to get solar installed on my home. He was thoughtful and thorough with his explanations, and took the time to answer all my questions and make sure I was comfortable moving forward with such a big financial commitment. Update:
Unfortunately we are not having a good experience now that our system is installed and we are trying to juggle our electric bill and solar system payments, and I've learned the hard way that this was a poor financial decision for our situation. Delmarva is blaming Lumina and Lumina is blaming Delmarva, but at the end of the day, Delmarva does not calculate solar production and usage the same way that Lumina does when they pitch the products to you, and we basically needed to produce twice as much electricity as we were told in order to cover our electric bill. So I'll be paying an electric bill and paying towards my solar system for the next 25 years. I am still glad that we are producing clean electricity for our house, but it has not been a cost-effective way to do it. I would highly recommend talking with Delmarva to see whether they think your system will pay for itself before making your decision.

We were interested in installing solar panels at our house, but had a bad experience with our first salesman from another company. After that, I carefully read reviews before reaching out to another company, and we contacted Lumina. We were SO much happier with the Lumina salesman who came out: Charlie. He was very helpful and well-informed, but we never felt pressured to make a decision on the spot, which made us feel more at ease. Between the positive reviews and our great experience working with Charlie, it was an easy decision to go with Lumina. There were some speed bumps along the way, but they all seemed to be the result of Delmarva and the older electrical infrastructure at our house. As of yesterday, we finally have our system activated, and it's already producing at maximum capacity! Thank you, Lumina, for making it possible for us to have clean electricity for our house!
