Light Bulb Depot New Orleans

What is in a name? Apparently, not a lot. I went to the Light Bulb Depot to look for a less common, but certainly widely available, Edison type light bulb for a new fixture I installed. I first went to the big box stores where there was a wide variety of similar bulbs. I was looking for a spiral filament pattern vs the squirrel pattern. Wanting it to have the look I was desiring, I drove about 20 min out of my way to get the bulb I wanted today, rather than wait on Amazon. Lo and behold, the selection of bulbs at "LIGHT BULB" Depot was abysmal. I think there is a wider variety at General Dollar or Big Lots. No one there even offered to possibly order the light I was looking for, although I do not know if they even provide this service. I will definitely stick to the big box stores for my light bulb needs, or Amazon for my specialty lights in the future

Super helpful, they had what I needed in stock and was able to pull it up quickly— Make sure you know the Wattage & Volts, or take a picture of the info in the light fixture itself!

I purchased photo cells for a job two of them did not work. I went to return them and told them they did not work and was asked if they had been installed. Well yeah they had been installed That's how I know they didn't work. The lady then went back to speak with a manager and said they would not return them because he was not sure what voltage had been hooked up to it or if they were defective. This company uses this terrible policy to rip people off. They sell junk and this is how they get away with it. W save yourself a headache and do not purchase this company's defective products that they refuse to stand behind. Update I appreciate them trying to make it good. They brought me out new photo cells. They will be exchange product just not refund which is difficult when you are on an job and not close to the business. Thank you for trying to make it right.

This is my go-to lighting store! Ask for Josh, he's very helpful & knowledgeable when it comes to anything lighting. The shop has an amazing selection of light bulbs in stock and can also order lights if they're not in stock. I would highly recommend this store!

Much much MUCH better than going anywhere else and hunting amongst a wall of bulbs for the correct size. Was in and out in less that 5 minutes and bought 8 bulbs of varying types to fit odd fixtures. If I tried that at Home Depot it would have taken an hour!

Awful. They didn't have the 40W appliance bulb I needed. They made me wait 30 minutes for a $4.50 exchange. Then, the shoddy replacement bulb I had to go back twice for burned out in less than twenty-four hours. Don't waste your time.
