I brought my laptop into LeftClick - paid for their 'priority diagnostic service' for $149 - they told me I needed a new motherboard and it would be over $900 to fix the problem.

I then asked them to just back up my files and put in on a hard drive that I supplied, since I didn't have $900 at the time. The charge to back my files up onto a hard drive was another $149. So far, I was into them for $300.

A week after I dropped off the hard drive, I still hadn't heard from them. I even submitted a ticket on their website asking if they had any issues. No answer.

I finally show up to get my laptop and they tell me "Oh, it's getting ready to be refurbished". I asked why they would do that since I never asked for that and they said, "because it doesn't work...?"

I took the laptop back because I couldn't justify spending $1,200 ($900 for the mother board and $300 I already spent) to fix a $1,600 laptop. Not to mention the horrible communication and the refurbishment of my laptop that I never asked for. I guess it's a good thing I showed up that day to get it.

A week later I brought it to another place in Northampton - they tested it and then replaced the LCD panel for $300 and it fixed the problem completely. It's been working perfectly for weeks since then.

So either, 1.) The staff at LeftClick lack basic skills in diagnosing common computer problems, or 2.) they lied and tried to make an extra $800 off me. Either way, I will never bring my computers there again.

The place I brought it to in Northampton was Green Earth computers on Crafts Ave. Great communication, fast service.

Every time I’ve come here I’ve left feeling satisfied knowing that I went to the best computer repair shop in the area. The staff are great and helpful and they explained everything I should be doing to keep my machine in working order

Cat was terrific, put all my concerns at rest, called when she said she would, and even helped find a way to make the bill a bit smaller! Staff member Kat worked with me. She was courteous, helpful, very knowledgeable. I appreciate that no one tried to pressure me to spend more money than I needed to! Rates and speed of service were very reasonable. I will not hesitate to come here again!

Staff was clear in explaining and addressing my laptop's problems. Costs were clearly explained. A cheaper alternative was proposed (much appreciated!) for fixing the problem. It was finished quicker than I anticipated. And the problem was completely resolved. Great work which I've come to rely on with Left Click!

I brought my laptop to Left Click because it wouldn't boot. They were friendly, respectful, and polite, unlike their competitors, and told me several different things that might be the problem (unlike their competitors who seemed to think there was only 1 or two things worth checking, and just waned to sell me a new machine instead of even trying to fix my old one like I wanted), and made every effort to help me. I would go back for further help in the future, if needed.

I needed help with my document storage. Scott at Left-Click made a home visit and was extremely helpful and responsive. When I did not understand his instructions he responded very quickly to repeat them and the staff at the LeftClick store set up my computer with notes for me on the laptop! I was very pleased with my experience

I went to Left Click to have a battery replaced and although the services provided were prompt and adequate as far as I can tell so far, I was severely overcharged for services rendered and employees were unclear about the cost during the process. What I was originally told would be 188 dollars in software upgrade and battery replacement ended up being 253 dollars when I picked up my laptop. My inquiries about the difference in price were met with annoyed responses by one employee and unclear answers from another. I would not recommend Left Click to anyone, especially students who are trying to find IT solutions at a reasonable price.
