I had a pipe in my frostfree hose bib burst and needed a replacement ASAP. After a friendly chat with the rep at Larry and Sons I got an appointment at a convenient time. The plumber, Bryan Anders, showed up early and replaced the pipe and valve quickly. (It turns out that the burst pipe was my own fault as I had left a hose connected to the hose bib over the winter).
The repair wasn't cheap, but I have no way of comparing it to the charges by any other plumber. Given the speed of getting an appointment and the repair itself, I'm quite satisfied.

During a snowstorm, my wife noticed we had no hot water. I contacted Larry & Sons before the storm, and while I understood their priority to ensure driver safety, they informed me it might take a couple of days to reach my residence. This was reasonable given the circumstances.

When the technician finally arrived, he quickly diagnosed a leak in our hot water tank and determined it needed replacement. He also mentioned that our water softener system was improperly installed by a previous technician and recommended replacing it. Additionally, I decided to replace the sump pump as part of the project.

However, I was shocked when I was quoted over $13,000 for the job. Given the urgency of the situation—my family needed hot water—I reluctantly agreed to proceed. Unfortunately, I later realized that I was overcharged by approximately $5,000 for the project.

To make matters worse, after the installation, the team left a mess on the street and dumped salt in the yard, that they didn’t clean up. While I am relieved my family now has hot water and a new water softener system, I cannot justify the excessive cost or the unprofessional behavior.

I would caution anyone considering Larry & Sons to think twice before doing business with them. In my experience, they took advantage of a dire situation, leaving me feeling overcharged and disappointed.

We love L&S. Their technicians are always on time and super knowledgeable about what they do. We had to call in for a follow up service a day after our routine bi-annual maintenance service. Within an hour of our call, Mr. Danny was sent to access the problem and was able to get the issue resolved. He was very professional and took time to explain the issue to us. I scheduled an appointment because my central air conditioner was blowing air 75% and heating 25% of the time. Dan arrived and completed a full diagnostic on my system and determined it was my thermostat settings. He explained everything in detail and gave his suggestions which was very helpful. He wasn’t rushing to leave nor was he trying to force repairs during his visit. He gave me an estimate on part that will be going bad in the near future and recommended getting it done before the summer. Great job Dan.

Wow! Words cannot describe how impressed I was with Jamie, the technician from Larry and Sons. I was running late, but he patiently waited for me to arrive. He walked me through everything, using pictures and clear explanations to show the “why” and “what” of the situation. Jamie was thorough, efficient, and even went the extra mile to reset the water softener, which wasn’t set correctly. He was incredibly professional, courteous, respectful, and kind. Paid $50 for them to look at it without touching and provide a $3000 quote to replace a water heater and then threatened me with "if you don't have us do it today it'll go up 25% in price." Didn't appreciate the intimidation tactics and will replace it myself considering water heaters at home Depot are $400-$600 with the same 6 year warranty this company is offering.
