I have used this service with mixed success for 15+ years. In recent years they have become unreliable. Most recently I had some construction work going on which triggered the smoke alarms in the house on 3 different occasions. The smoke alarms went off for at least 3 minutes each time, yet no response or phone call from the remote monitoring service which is based in Bend, Oregon.

When I tried to cancel my service, they were cooperative over the phone, but failed to follow through with their promises to coordinate with my new alarm company. This lack of cooperation cost me $250 to install a new cellular service because they failed to "release" the old cellular sim (which I payed for).

This is a case of industry consolidation (big company buying smaller company and then cutting back on services while elevating prices. There are other options in the Lake Arrowhead area, I would suggest you explore them before signing on with Lake Arrowhead Security.com

Jared Cooper came to my house to solve a problem involving a faulty sensor with my new alarm system. He not only fixed that sensor, but he also went above and beyond and helped my sister and I figure out how to use a manual can opener, (sad, but true) and see if we were operating our t.v. properly. I just moved in and needed some assistance, as us girls were having trouble and he came to the rescue! He deserves the 'Over, Above, and Beyond the Call of Duty' Award! Thank you, Jared!
