Assessor Office: I was very impressed with the Assessor office staff. Sharon and Glenda were very professional and patient. I was not aware of the process for appealing my condo value. Orderly, but this facility needs more accommodations for individuals who aren't as mobile or have injuries, temporary or long term, for whom waiting in one long line after another can be excruciating. I had to hold onto the chair rail and slide along the wall while inching back and forth along hallways(-twice-) as I was advised of the wrong Courtroom. This is a temporary injury, and embarrassing that I nearly fell in front of the Court Clerk. Maybe a row of benches or chairs would be prudent given Jefferson County has the most aging population of all in Colorado. The Aging Well Initiative should examine this in government (to start) buildings ultimately striving to make Jeffco easier to physically navigate for the aging or infirmed population. The easy answer is not to always point them to utilize the internet for everything. Thank you.

Today's experience was horrible. Went in to finish processing a title for a 91 year old 1933 Ford pickup. This was my second visit because on the first visit I was told I needed to have a record search which I was told I had to do online. I dutifully came home and processed that record search for "all records" according the online steps paying the $3.02 charge. It took about a week for the DMV to process the search. When I did receive the results I printed out what was sent to me. With that completed I had an appointment today. I was told by the clerk that I need to start over because I had not filled out some portion of a form I had previously filled out. After several minutes checking with her supervisor I was able to fill out the few boxes that needed filled out. At my previous visit all went well except I was missing the record search. After this delay I was told my record search was bogus. I showed the clerk on my phone the reply I had received from the DMV. Again, another conference with the supervisor. After a long time the clerk came back and said the record search was the wrong one and that I needed to fill out from DR2498A Motor Vehicle Requestor Release Affidavit of Intended Use. That form is "to purchase a record other than your own" which is totally absurd because I am the one requesting the record for myself. Totally discussed I left. I came home and tried to make an appointment at the Pierce Street DMV only to find out that there were NO appointments available in May.
I am a 77 year old collector of 1933 and 1934 Fords. A year ago I applied for a title for another 1933 Ford Fordor Sedan I had purchased, fixed up and everything went smoothly. A year later all the forms and procedures have changed turning the process into a nightmare. For a 91 year old vehicle that has not seen service of over 71 years. Under Polis and his band of legislator's numerous fees have been added to everything, and I mean everything, which are actually taxes on us citizens without a vote. Just look at your next license plate renewal, the list is lengthy. And lets don't forget property taxes which went through the ceiling. As a native, Colorado is not the state I grew up in.

This was the first passport office in two states that misplaced identification when applying for a new passport. How can you send the passport to us, but not the birth certificate that accompanied the application? We didn’t even know the birth certificate was missing until we received a call from another applicant who searched for our son on Facebook. We received each others birth certificates. In today’s world where everyone has their credit card or identification stolen you would think they would take special care not to lose it. What a joke!

The girl at.counter 3 was able to do alot & save me $200.00 by transferring fees paid on a total loss vehicle that I was still paying on & back dating it to the time of the actual occurrence

Shortened hours due to covid, check first! Helpful people, always understaffed. The people there work twice as hard to get the job done with half the usual staff.
