I was looking to buy a piece of furniture, and I found one that fit my needs. Then the problems started;

> The website does not provide any prices, the only thing it says is contact the store for more information. That gives you the hint right away that this is going to be a problem when they won’t even tell you how much the product costs.

> While you can specify the size you want, the only way you can get information on it is to fill-in your email address and phone number so someone will get back to you. But days later no one got back to me yet.

> The website does list a store phone number, so I called directly. That started another set of problems – an automated answering machine that gives you various options, but an option to talk to a salesman is not one of them, although you can talk to the service department or an operator. And that sets up problem two-when you press zero for operator, the first two times I called it said try later. I tried later, and then it just went into a doom loop. you press zero, if goes through the options, so you press zero again, and the option list starts again. no way to speak to actual human beings. Hopefully they will fix their problems.

I’m deeply disappointed by how Jarrettsville Furniture took advantage of my mother. She’s on a fixed income and has vision concerns, but trusting their reputation, she purchased a lamp sight unseen. The salesperson exaggerated its value, claiming it was originally $1,200 but could be bought for $999, while warning that few were left in stock at their 'factory' in North Carolina.

To save on shipping costs, I drove an hour and a half to pick up this supposedly high-end lamp. When I received it, bubble-wrapped, it immediately felt cheap, and once we got it home, it became clear why. Instead of the brass sculpture we were promised, the lamp was made of painted, flimsy metal. The plastic socket broke when I installed a light bulb, and even after getting it to stay together, it gave off barely any usable light. I could find a far better lamp for $15 at a thrift store or $100 at an antique shop.

When we reached out to the store for help, they refused to offer any refund or assistance. It’s sad to see such a well-known name peddling cheap, gaudy products at outrageous prices. If you have more money than sense or taste, this might be the store for you, but for everyone else, beware.

I'm revising my earlier review. After talking to Angie it came down to let's make it right. I went up and talked with Hank and basically my new chair is "in the mail" I'm about customer service and while I was loaded for bear when I got there, I left satisfied.
