After searching for almost a year for a dining room chandelier to replace my old outdated one, I found the perfect chandelier here. I wanted something elegant and more contemporary. Victor was very helpful in guiding me in selecting the right size, shape and color to hang over my rectangle dining table. I chose a large oval with crystal droplets. We had it installed today and it is simply stunning. Extremely happy with my chandelier and with the service I received. Highly recommend Hye Lighting!

I had a beautiful lamp that I had bought secondhand. It needed some TLC, but I wasn’t sure where to take it. I found Hye in an Internet search. They fixed the lamp and the sockets, and had it ready for me the next day. Even though it wasn’t a high-end transaction, they treated me with care and kindness… as if I was one of their customers who comes in to spend thousands of dollars. I will surely be back!

The only potential reason this place has remained open for this long is the dearth of quality lighting shops in this end of the Valley. They’re rude, overpriced, shoddy workmanship and unprofessional. Decent selection of common lighting but virtually everything they offer can be found for less money elsewhere by more sophisticated professionals. As a designer I’ve brought them a decent amount of business but only because of their location. I’ve caught them in so many lies that I won’t return ever regardless of convenient location. Don’t bother wasting time and money when there’s far superior products and service for less a few miles away.

Peter, at Hye Lighting, was so welcoming, and greeted me the moment I entered the store. He helped me select a lamp shade that was reasonably priced and beautiful. He took a lot of time and went-the-extra-mile in showing me how it would look with the light bulb turned on, explaining the size I needed in proportion to the lamp size, and the color that would be most flattering in the room. With the time he spent to help me, one would think I was purchasing a $5,000 crystal light-fixture. He also explained that I could return the product if it didn't look the way I envisioned. I got exactly what I wanted in terms of a modern, clean lamp shade and the experience was outstanding. The customer is not left on their own to roam the store with no direction. I was very happy with the service at the store. Tamar was very helpful. I didn't know exactly what I wanted so I took a few pictures of my rooms to show her. She has great ideas and so much selection. You need to be patient to find just the perfect lighting to make the room happy and cozy. Tamar helped us do just that. I shopped around elsewhere and the prices and selection were no where close to what we found here. I am very satisfied, and would recommend Hye Lighting in Tarzana to anyone looking for the perfect lighting.

My family has been doing business with Hye Lighting for as long as I can remember. My dad was a tinkerer and when he needed help with some lamp or other, he'd take it in and they'd figure it out. A few years back we had the shades in Mom's living room remade to exactly what she wanted. Took in my antique floor lamp and they rebuilt everything to working order. Just now I called for an odd light bulb needed for one of our store displays and VOILA!!! they had them! LOVE THESE GUYS!!

These people have nice lights and so is every lighting store, but the service, forget it. After changing my mind in getting a different lamp, they were not happy, because they had to store it as a stock item. The customers should be happy, and the owners happy for them.
