We moved to Palm Springs in June of 2024. Our house has a bunch of solar on it but we needed a new roof. HPE came out and managed the solar uninstall and reinstall. While it wasnt without a few hiccups, HPE was immediately there to fix every issue perfectly.

Whenever I reach out to them, they are quick to respond (Jim is amazing with customers). Just recently, our system was using a very old Zigbee device to communicate with the cloud that costs $500 every 5 years to use (WTF). It crapped out and they came out and replaced it with a WiFi extender saving us $100 a year.

Solar is complex and not without its bumps, but Hot Purple Energy is always there. I can not recommend them enough!

Calling Hot Purple was one of the best calls I have ever made. I had roughly 25% of my panels, 13 out of 40, down since July of last year. The company that installed the panels, the other big name in the Desert, gave me nothing but the run around and stopped returning my phone calls, for absolutely no reason on my part. I finally made the decision to seek help elsewhere and called Hot Purple. It was the best decision I could have made. Jim and his team were perfectly wiling to help and actually appreciated my business. They diagnosed the problem, methodically came up with a repair plan and fixed the problem in a matter of two weeks. I could not have been more satisfied. My only regret is that I did not call them much sooner. Hot Purple is now my definite go to for anything to do with solar energy. I highly recommend them.

Our experience with Hot Purple Energy was phenomenal. Every person involved with our retrofitted PowerWall installation and EV charging station was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We had individualized service that incorporated our concerns, needs and current equipment to create a customized, streamlined solar system. Before, during and after the retrofit, we had constant contact and updates on the progress of the installation and technical assistance. We can now monitor all panels and both batteries on ONE app. I highly recommend Hot Purple Energy for any solar needs.

Very satisfied with the installation of my Tesla Batteries for backup and all of the process went very well, constantly updating me on the progress from start to finish. Hot purple energy not only did a spectacular job putting in my original system 7 years ago, but also added extra panels this past summer , did a quick clean installation with the predictable friendly respectful team onsite. The kicker in the installation is when a warranty item from the manufacture of SUNPOWER was to be completed by the manufacturer and they did not show on 2 occasions and then danced on the replacement needed , Hot Purple came in and finished the job and backed up the Warranty .

I highly recommend HPE for all your solar needs from panels to service to battery backup! They stand behind their products and more importantly workmanship. We have 104 solar panels and 6 Tesla batteries that HPE installed for us which have eliminated our electric bills and even provide a tidy rebate annually on our contract date from SCE. At a time when some solar companies are wobbly, HOT PURPLE ENERGY is a rock, and I am so grateful I chose them to install and maintain my solar, including an elaborate power wall. Gary Moore and Reuben Schy are first-rate and first class service providers. Gary sold our system to us and went more than an extra mile to make sure it was exactly what we need. Reuben has provided equally great service, and he recently way beyond by helping Southern California Edison realize they had charged me for power but OOPS, forgot to credit me for the power I generated, resulting in a $2955.00 refund from SCE. Reuben didn't just investigate the current billing problem, he went back two years and provided SCE with a chart to show them their pattern of billing me incorrectly. Earlier this year I referred Gary Moore to some very close friends in PS. They now have a new solar system + batteries and thank me every time I am at their house for sending Gary and Hot Purple their way. Integrity matters and Hot Purple has it in droves.
