Had a very rough month and was 60$ short for my +300$ bill. Told them what day i get paid and they didnt care, some guy dressed casually jumped our flimsy back fence(risking damaging our property and small dogs) and shut us off. Over 60$ that i was gonna have in 2 days.. then when we did pay them they took ALL DAY to turn it back on. Man and i thought theyd be better than PG&E, but PG&E would never be so unprofessional and so quick to shut ya off.

Gridley Municipal Utilities is the highest utility bills I have ever had in my life. Also their Billing System is very inconsistent. Some months they will bill me for 30 days, other months they will bill me for 50 days. Bills just don't show up some months and then a double bill with a shut-off notice shows up in the middle of the following month. We are averaging over $400 a month in the same size home we had in Chico where we went through PG&E for electricity, which ran us about $70-$120 a month. As soon as our lease is up we will be moving out of Gridley due to their super high utilities.

Feel like paying 3x the going rate for power? How about $60 "convenience fees" for paying your bill? Jk. They dont care. Luckily I found a solar company that CAN install in Gridley. Bye Gridley power...

These prices for energy are ridiculous. My utility bill in the summer is between 4-500 dollars. With the AC on only half the time (we suffer the rest of the time). Even when the AC is on we hVe it set to 79 degrees which still isn't that comfortable. Shame on them for their spiked prices. It's no wonder that people don't stick around.

This place is a greed driven, corrupt, blinded my money, organization who are more concerned with taking the maximum amount they can bleed from their customers than they are about their customers well being. I suspect they are curbing meter readings, as well as block home owners from obtaining solar and as well as middle manning pge electricity and distributing it at a much higher rate.
