This place is AMAZING! I walked in knowing exactly what I was looking for to put above by staircase in my entrance way, and Joy helped me immediately. After explaining in exact detail to Joy what it was I wanted, she immediately had 4 in mind that she thought I might like. She read my mind! There was a light that I knew immediately would go in my entrance way. The quality of their products is top notch, and their selection is amazing! I could have spent hours in there. There are many price points, so please don’t be intimidated by their gorgeous building. Joy was so friendly, I can’t say enough about her helpfulness and the quality of items in Grand Rapids Lighting Center! Check out their lamps and well! Just gorgeous!

I was very pleased with GR Lighting's repairs. We ordered a chandelier from Pottery Barn (boo!) and received the wrong parts for mounting it. I brought the fixture into GR Lighting and they did a great job of improvising a new way to mount it for a very reasonable price. Thanks to everyone at Grand Rapids Lighting Center for being problem solvers!

Let’s be honest, when you walk into the showroom, it’s pretty overwhelming. Especially, if you dont know what you’re looking for. That’s when we met Ryan. He showed us several different options and ideas. He listened to the things we liked. Showed us some other ideas that we wouldn’t normally have picked on our own.

From the beginning he was very transparent and honest with what designs would look good together and what designs might be less than complementary.

Although it took a few trips to the show room to make our final decision, Ryan always met us with a smile and remembered the selections that were under consideration.

Long story short, thank you Ryan for being absolutely amazing!

For 55 Years (probably longer than most of us have been around) and over 3+ generations, Grand Rapids Lighting is THE place that homewoners in West Michigan go to for quality lighting. Whether new construction or remodel, you need to check them out. I love that their showroom changes with the latest in lighting each time we visit.

Came into Grand Rapids Lighting Center in search of 3 new ceiling fans for a new house we recently purchased in Grand Rapids. We also needed to replace a number of light fixtures. When I asked to see the ceiling fans, I was escorted to the area and then abandoned, despite having a lot of questions. I saw a number of light fixtures that may have worked. However, the lack of attentiveness of the staff encouraged me to shop elsewhere.

I had a great customer service experience with Ryan Emery at Grand Rapids Lighting Center! All I came in with was an inspiration photo for the light above my kitchen island and Ryan worked with me to find the perfect statement lighting piece. He showed me catalogs with images of things I may like and different lights they had at the store. Between the two, Ryan was able to put together the lighting arrangement that was even better than my inspiration photo. I never felt rushed or pushed in a certain direction. I was able to take my time thinking and looking through the great variety the store had with his help. I highly recommend asking for Ryan when going to GRLC for all your lighting needs!

Ok, the good. 1.5 hours from home. 5 light fixtures purchased. They were in stock. We drove home with the fixtures.. The bad.. The store was busy. We had to work with two different reps to complete our task. Fixtures are expensive, but they offered a discount. Who knows? The ugly: One fixture was damaged, repaired finish at home. Fixtures came with lamps...why did I spend $60 for lamps...oh well...spares. Overall 4.5 stars. We got fixtures, installed them, and its done. One trip. In stock. Yes I would recommend the Grand Rapids Lighting Center.
