Desert Hot Springs is a city in Riverside County, California. This place is famous for its peaceful atmosphere and healing mineral waters. The hot springs here are completely natural and packed with beneficial minerals, renowned for their therapeutic properties. Besides getting into spa and ogling at the vast empty desert road, and mountain there is NOTHING much to do as far as attraction is concern.

Restaurants and coffee shops and public transportation are scant. Housing development was non-existence for the obvious reason. Overall, it’s just a ghostlike city town good for a short half-a day visit.

We stopped in town to visit and look at real estate on our way into LA from Joshua Tree. I was appalled at the lack of available public restrooms for visitors and I began to inquire why. What I heard was that because of your “homeless problem” you all do not, by law, allow public restrooms. This means you all allow humans to be treated like common animals defecting and urinating all over your city. Which I’m sure leads to fines and arrests that these people cannot afford and wasting tax payer money. I witnessed 2 drug deals at a 7/11 so your problem is not with unhoused people. It is a lack of opportunity, compassion, and love for your fellow human. I have never been so disgusted and appalled by an entire town.

Absolutely love this city!! The staff are so helpful and accommodating in helping you with projects, growing the community and creating events for travelers to see our great city and all it has to offer! Hats off to city council for helping make this a great city to visit and live!
