Need lighting? Skip the big box hardware stores and fancy showrooms and head to Bay Lighting Supply. This independently owned small business has been providing standard and specialty lighting supplies for nearly 25 years. From the outside, the small shop on El Camino Real may look like it caters only to contractors, but it’s a terrific resource for the homeowner too.

You’ll be greeted with a smile by Dave (aka “Gabby”) and occasionally by his business partner Rob. The guys are extremely knowledgeable and focused on customer service no matter how small your order might be. I discovered them years ago while searching for a special type of bulb that no one else carried, and I’ve been shopping there ever since.

I highly recommend Bay Lighting Supply for all your lighting needs!

Bay lighting supply is the kind of place you can drive by for years and not really notice it's there. However, when it comes to knowledgeable people, helpful advice, and the parts you need I doubt there is a better place to go. Sure the big box guys have lots to choose from, but If its not this season's trend, good luck. I needed an small $4.00 bulb adapter that absolutely was not anywhere else. Called David, told him what I needed, got a quote and 10 minutes later picked up my part. The two places on line I found it wanted 10 bucks to ship it, and 10 days ARO. Next to Jack in the box on el Camino real in Santa Clara. Park around the corner, they only have a couple of parking places.

I was in dire need of a specific bulb that no one stocks. While other stores said, "not until next week," I'd have to order one for you," "I would have to drive to Hayward to get it, so not today." They wanted 2-3 times the cost. David of Bay Lightning Supply, said," give me a minute to see what I can do." in less that 4 minutes he found the bulb and set up a pick up for me so I can have the church parking lot lit up again and safe. A great Thank You to David @ Bay Lighting Supply. At a cost of half the other stores wanted.

My house was built with some ceiling lights that take weird bulbs. Most lighting stores don't carry the bulbs. Bay Lighting is one of the few places that do. If they don't have them in stock and I ask, they will order extras in their next regular shipment and set them aside for me so it isn't a custom order and I don't pay shipping. The only other place that carries my bulb charges 10% more and it's a knockoff brand, not from the original manufacturer like Bay Lighting's bulbs are.

We get about 95% of our lighting stock here. They usually have what we need. And if they don't Dave will try to get it or at least get me some info on where to go get it from.

Great selection of hard to find bulbs and very knowledgeable on connection types, limitations and where best applicable.
Way better selection then Home Depot or Lowe's.
