It’s been nearly a year of living here and I have had the worst experience.

The pool has never been together, it looks like an ashtray.

The back door doesn’t lock and management could care less. I shared an uncomfortable experience that happened over the winter months with a strange man and they did nothing.

The gym doors are permanently locked, it’s probably the cleanest place in the building besides my apartment and the rental office.

Dogs release themselves anywhere and you better watch where you step or you’ll be wearing it on the bottom of your shoes.

Packages are not safe here. Mine were stolen and to think of asking for packages to be placed somewhere safe is ridiculous.

Fire alarm has went off several times and once we all had to evacuate because the trash chute was set on fire. Severe water damage left one elevator out of order for over a month.

The laundry room is filthy and half of the dryers don’t work. There’s an old vending machine in there with snacks that I wouldn’t even think of eating.

Some of the neighbors are loud and dirty, I say some but it is definitely majority.

I’ve heard mice attempt to chew through the wall in the living room.

I’ve asked to be notified a day in advance if someone needs to enter my apartment and maintenance came inside of my unit when I wasn’t home, I was never notified. I happened to see him on my camera.

I could go on and on here but I don’t know if I can blame the management company as a whole, the on site management staff or the residents. Either way, save yourself the headache and do not move here. This place is literally what I assumed the projects would be like.

This apartment complex has changed management so many times.It use to be a really nice,chic building with a great reputation. Now it's a shell of it's former self. Amenities are a joke, repairs might happen it's always a 50/50 chance...

Ashton Heights is infested with mice . They eat holes through your walls, they crawl on your stove 2 minutes after turning fire off . The mice be in your oven . The bathrooms have mold. Management do not put your maintenance request in and will not have pest control come into your unit weekly like they say . They shut your water off randomly without notice .! Only positive thing I have to say about Ashton heights is the apartments are spacious.! The office look nice but it’s deceiving.! Do not recommend any one move there unless they are in dying need !
And everyone leaving a Good Review on Khadijah must be friends of hers because I have not had a good experience with her at all. She Literally ignore my emails , lie about putting in maintenance request, lie about adding me to pest control list n all. Living at Ashton height has been a complete nightmare.! And I don’t even want to get started on parking lot or lack of security , or how the pool never open and elevators almost never work! I really should upload pictures and videos 🙄

I’m am new to Ashton heights apts, today is LITERALLY my 4th day here!!! Im currently experiencing a roach problem, and as I write this review I hear MICE CHEWING THE FLOOR IN ATTEMPTS TO ENTER MY APT. My bathroom smells of mildew (possibly MOLD) one of my sons have asthma… there have been an abundance of hornets in my home. I’ve BOMBED my unit ALREADY!!! For $2,000 a month o REFUSE TO LIKE THIS!! I feel like I was bamboozled into renting because there’s NO WAY all these reviews and the OWNER doesn’t know what’s going on. The only thing I’m guilty of is NOT reading the reviews before moving here. All I can say is I’m OUT OF HERE!!

The guest call box has been broken for over a month. Management refuses to fix it. If u run downstairs and leave your key fob, you can't call your phone to get inside the building. The day time security refuses to let you in the building, he or she will stare at you and not open the door.

We've had lengthy elevator issues, roaches. The towing company will tow your vehicle for no valid reason. The leasing office is always closed.

The good thing about this place is that all the utilities are included and you're relatively close to the metro and it's bus accessible. Rent is not bad.

My first complaint is that management/owners does not care about this building. I've been here for years and it's gotten worse with this management company. We've been without a working laundry room for weeks. I've caught at least 5 mice in my apartment in the last month. The mice are in the walls and chew the carpet to get in. Water damage for months in my unit and maintenance keep saying I'll be up tomorrow and that never comes. My apartment smells like mold! Trash in the hall, rude nasty tenants leave trash in stairs. Called several time to put in a work order and nobody comes to fix anything. For almost $2000 a month this is crazy and unacceptable. This building/owner should be reported to the city. How can you afford to move and still pay rent every month. PLEASE RUN AND NEVER MOVE HERE!!!

09/05/2023. ...This is an update to my previous review I upped it to 5 stars because Iove the new staff in the rental office. Adrian has been here for a bit and I really like him. He is always very respectful and helpful. He treats me like how I perceive he would want his mom treated. Rayshawn is a fantastic new addition to the rental office. She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. She went all the way out of her way to help me be able to do my laundry without going to the laundry mat. It wasn't her job ...she just did it out of kindness. I always appreciate her professionalism. She also always looks very professional as well. My daughter really likes the office staff a lot as well. The property manager, Khadijah is still killing it in the rental office!!
Things seem to be getting repaired a lot more quickly and the laundry room is always open.

Previous review: Overall I enjoy living here. I have lived in a 3bdrm and now a 2bdrm. The apartments are nice, they are really big. The bad..... we have NO working amenities. The laundry room has been shut down since June, as has the gym and the pool didn't open this summer. The good ...I love the staff here. The property manager, Khadijah has always been pleasant, professional and helpful. The office staff in general is always nice. The maintenance team work very hard and seem to address most issues quickly. I love the housekeeping staff as well. They are always working and they are always really kind . The location is excellent and the rent is quite affordable. I couldn't do five stars because I hate having to go to the laundromat every weekend. The whole staff gets five stars from me though. I forgot to mention that I had really great nieghbors on the tenth floor!!

Moving soon. This place is absolutely horrible. The owners DO NOT CARE. The entire apartment building is invested with mice, No one in that entire complex can tell me otherwise, you can literally hear them in the walls. I had to move here last year, on short notice. I had relatives already living there. When I moved in there were already mouse bait and traps behind the oven. Have caught over 30 mice. What's the point of pest control even coming out, if maintenance, won't even find and patch up the holes. No working electrical outlets in the kitchen. No working amenities whatsoever, laundry room has been closed for months, mgmt., keep saying next week. It has been months and from looking down there looks as if nothing has even been started. No Gym no, laundry room, no pool. All amenities we pay for but have yet to be able to use. Call box never works. The turnover rate in the rental/leasing is crazy and says a lot. Seems as if no one stays more than 6 months. Trash always in hallways and elevators. If you can absolutely afford staying away from here and moving elsewhere, that's the best bet.
