Subject: Urgent Warning: A Plea to Interior Designers - Avoid Roll & Hill

To Interior Design Company’s and Future Customer’s:
It is with great regret that I write to you again regarding the ongoing issues we face with the Excel chandelier and the subsequent lack of resolution from your end. As an Interior Design company, we value not only the aesthetics of the products we choose but also their quality and durability. Unfortunately, our experience with your company has fallen short on every front.

1. Unacceptable Product Quality:
The Excel chandelier, touted as a premium piece, has proven to be subpar in quality. The shades' defects, including seams separating, white threads showing, lumps, and detachment from metal arms, are glaring issues that are both visually unappealing and structurally concerning.

2. Inadequate Customer Service Response:
Despite our detailed communication and photos, the response from Evan in your customer service team was unsatisfactory. The proposed adjustments fail to address the fundamental quality [meaning we didn’t get one] problems with the shades, leaving us frustrated and disappointed.

3. Caution to Fellow Interior Designers:
As an Interior Design company, we take pride in curating exceptional spaces for our clients. We would never want our fellow designers to make the same mistake we did by investing in a company that delivers low-quality designs. Given our experience, we cannot, in good conscience, recommend Roll & Hill to any other Interior Design firm.

4. A Plea for Improvement:
We believe every company has the capacity to improve, and we sincerely hope Roll & Hill takes immediate action to rectify these quality issues. A commitment to better products and customer service would not only salvage your reputation but also prevent others from experiencing the disappointment we have faced.

Some very beautiful products but store associates are a hit or miss on helpfulness and friendliness, and support group when there is a product issue is a disaster (unresponsive, long delays when they do respond, inconsistent about warranty policy, etc.). They clearly want to deal with designers not with direct customers (although we've bought two lamps and four decorative pieces over time).

This is my opinion based on my experience with Roll and Hill. I puschased a 10 light Agnes Chandelier with 10 LED bulbs wwhich I was told should last 25,000 hours. After about 48 hours of usage the bulbs started flickering. After about 100 hours of usage, all the bulbs were dead. I emailed the company and they told me that I need to dismantle the chandelier, pack it and ship it myself so that they can examine it....sure let me call my electrician to do all this work, pay more money and inconvenience myself.....not even an apology or attempt to make the customer happy after the product did not perform as advertised. Thomas Edison invented the bulb and this company charges $12,000 for a metal structure to hold the bulbs, but it may not work.
