Avoid Elite Screens at All Costs!

If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay as far away from Elite Screens as possible. This company epitomizes everything wrong with customer service and product reliability in the modern market. My experience--and the experiences of countless others as detailed in numerous online reviews--has been an absolute nightmare. Here's why.

Customer Service: Nonexistent and Hostile

Dealing with Elite Screens' customer service is like shouting into a void. Repeated attempts to contact their team--both via phone and email--were met with radio silence. Weeks would pass without a response, and when they finally did reply, the tone was far from professional. Instead of taking accountability or offering solutions, their representatives exuded attitude and deflected responsibility.

Don't bother trying to call their customer service number. You'll either be stuck on hold indefinitely or directed to leave a message that no one ever returns. The rare instances when you do manage to connect with a representative are just as frustrating. They're unhelpful, evasive, and clearly untrained in resolving issues. It's as though the company actively avoids dealing with customer complaints, hoping you'll simply give up.

Product Quality: Unreliable and Defective

I purchased an Elite Screens product as a trial for use in my showroom. I obtained the screen through a private party, who obtained it through one of their authorized dealers. This screen was NEW and still in its original packaging when I obtained it. There were absolutely NO signs of impact damage on either the housing or the packaging from shipping. However, the screen housing was twisted (envision wringing out a wet towel), not dented or bent. And this twist impacted the functionality of the screen, not allowing it to lower properly. After much effort, I was able to mount the screen and get it to lower, only to then find that the screen has several severe folds in it, making it completely unusable.

While I understand that defects can occasionally happen, the real issue lies in how the company handles--or, more accurately, fails to handle--such situations. Despite their advertised warranty, Elite Screens refused to stand behind their product. Several weeks of back-and-forth communication (mostly no response from them) yielded no resolution. I'm no closer to having my defective product replaced or repaired than I was the day I received it.

Passing the Buck

Elite Screens is masterful at passing the buck. Instead of taking responsibility for the defective product, they shifted blame to the shipper and the dealer. The dealer, in turn, claimed that Elite Screens was at fault. This endless game of finger-pointing is exhausting and shows a complete lack of professionalism. No one wants to deal with a company that shirks its responsibilities at every turn.

A Pattern of Neglect

Sadly, my experience isn't unique. A quick search online reveals a disturbing pattern:
* Frequent complaints about long response times, with some customers waiting weeks or even months to hear back.
* Unhelpful customer representatives who seem more interested in dodging accountability than resolving issues.
* Refusal to honor warranties or provide adequate support for damaged or defective products.

Absolute trash of a company with garbage screens. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy from this worthless company! We ordered our first screen, and it had a crease in the screen. We returned it and ordered a second one- ONLY to find that the second one is missing a part. NO ONE answers the phone, responds to emails, or calls you back. ABSOLUTE TRASH. If I can give it negative stars, I would. Seriously, just terrible. Do not buy from this worthless company. They SUCK!

Bought $750 Evanesce drop-down screen in 2016. Came back may ‘23 and bought the upgraded tab version for $1000.
Just found out if you buy it today it comes with a new control module that allows you to adjust the position FOR THE EXACT SAME PRICE. I have to pay $258 for the circuit board.
Net net, They don’t care about their customers and are not willing to do anything to keep them. My suggestion is to go with a company with better customer support and product pricing.
258$ for a single layer PCB and a couple 3 function remotes is absurd.

This is my third Elite Screens screen, and my first HUGE disappointment from them. My wife purchased the AR100H-CLR ultra short throw screen for me, for my birthday ($1059) and when I opened it, I noticed a defect in the screen material in the upper corner. Assuming I was dealing with a reputable company, I immediately contacted customer service to get this resolved. Jaime Luna, the support manager said they would not cover it under warranty! I provided the proof of purchase, the serial number, everything they needed. The warranty is for 2 years, and it was open for less than 2 hours. Jaime Luna informed me that the box should have been opened immediately after receiving the box. I explained there was no damage to the box, why would my wife open a 6 foot tall box and inspect every part inside it and then try to re-wrap it for my birthday! She only purchased it 90 days ago, and from a an authorized dealer. Their response was that I could send them more money if I wanted to buy a replacement!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!! I would fire one of my employees if they treated a customer this way!!

A 1 star rating until my issue is resolved. The products have been almost entirely great. Until the 3rd screen I ordered. Used it for 3 years. Then most recently it got a little wet with a misty rain shower. I wiped it down totally dry let it air out for a day. its an outdoor screen apparently, yadmaster 2. but just to be careful i dried it fully, before put it away for months as I only use it every few months. Got to a gig 3 weeks ago, screen is covered in some kind of brown and black mold or mildew. all the casters are rusted and the screen shrunk about 5%.

Immediately contacted support, took 3 days for a general response which then routed me to fill out another form, which 2 days later after a followup with the original rep, got a response from a sales team member. this sales team member responds using templates, without even looking at the emails or the questions. its painfullyy obvious. and it takes him minimum 2 days to respond.

3 weeks later. I am still trying to walk this guy through how to read an email. havent even been told if I can get a replacement screen, but generally given the ballpark idea that with shipping the screen will be over $360. THE WHOLE KIT, SCREEN, FRAME, MOUNTING STRAPS/STAKES, AND BAG WAS $216 INCLUDING SHIPPING.

I would give the products a 4star without this situation.
but their support is embarrassing. dont even bother trying to call, no one answers, anytime of day. not totally sure the company exists in the same way they used to.

absolute, utter and complete failure for your clients. at this moment I would highly reccommend that anyone stay away from elite screens.

still no explanation at all as to why an outdoor screen, would have this happen or how I prevent it in the future.

This fly-by-night operation has cost my company THOUSANDS of dollars in lost business because they can't get their act together.
We've bought dozens of screens from Elite Screens over the years. Every time a motor or circuit board breaks it's an entire three-ring circus just to get them to send the right part. We provide the model number and serial number for a screen we have, but they insist they need the model number off the motor itself, which involves taking down the entire screen (ours are anywhere from 135" - 200" diagonal and mounted 15 feet off the ground), disassembling it to get at the motor, then having it sit around while we wait for the part to be sent. Why is the model number and serial number not enough?! What is the point of a serial number if you can't use it to identify the right part?
My latest experience really takes the cake, though. After going through the entire process of ordering the part from their website (where we provided the model # and serial #) we got a followup email saying we ordered the wrong part. They insist they need the model number from the motor itself. We have our on-site technicians get the motor out and send us a picture of it. We send that picture to Erik Garcia with Elite Screens and the motor we need will actually be more than double the cost of the one we ordered. Fine. We'll pay the difference, we'll pay for overnight shipping, whatever. Just get us the motor so we can use the screen for our business. The motor arrived a few hours ago and IT'S THE WRONG ONE.
We stopped buying Elite Screens products years ago because of issues like this, but unfortunately we still have at least 50 of them in circulation at our business locations across the country. The electrical and electronic components are failing left and right and I'm getting tired of dealing with their nonexistent "support."
Stay away. Stay far, far away from anything made by this company.

Screen has major flaws...it mildews after storage. I purchase the yard master 2 dual screen and stand. I used it periodically (every 3-4 weeks) with my kids in the backyard. I noticed mildew streaks and stains that formed on the screen. I noticed the streaks were getting worse upon every use. I emailed the company, they said that it should be notified one month after purchase, stored in dried environment, and used frequently. Who uses the screen on a weekly basis? How much drier can it be if I store it in the given case and in my house? ? Horrible warranty...they do not stand behind their product!!!
